What’s At Stake: The Challenges Facing America
The Honorable Fred Thompson
United States Senator from Tennessee, 1994-2002
Senator Fred Thompson first gained national attention as minority counsel for the Senate Watergate Committee, leading the line of inquiry that revealed the audio-taping system in the Oval Office. In 1994, Mr. Thompson's independent approach to campaigning became legendary when he defeated a 6-term Congressman by a large margin of victory. He became known for his portrayal of New York District Attorney Arthur Branch on the Emmy Award-winning Law & Order. He currently hosts The Fred Thompson Show with his wife Jeri, a daily radio talk show produced by Westwood One, and is the author of the recent bestselling book, Teaching the Pig to Dance.
With his down-to-earth style and sharp sense of humor, Senator Thompson will discuss the issues and challenges facing Americans today.

Behind The Blind Side: Overcoming Obstacles in the Face of Adversity
Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy
The Real Heroes That Inspired the Best-selling Book and Blockbuster Film The Blind Side
The Blind Side tells the story of Michael Oher, a teenager who rose from homelessness to become a first-round NFL draft pick with the support and love of an unlikely adoptive family: the Tuohys. A record-breaking basketball player, successful entrepreneur and NBA broadcaster, Sean Tuohy knew what it meant to be the poor kid in a private school — he had been one himself.
Sharing personal anecdotes, Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy bring The Blind Side to life. From the perspective of dedicated parents, the Tuohys ask all of us to consider a simple question: how many other kids like Michael Oher are falling through the cracks every day? And how can we make an impact big enough to change a broken system? |
